Peculiar Christian Church began in Houston, Texas in 2014, birthed from a simple desire to shine the marvelous light of Jesus wherever God would send us. In October 2015, the Lord led us to officially launch in California, where my wife and I have continued pastoring with the love of Christ and a passion for ministering Jesus to all. From the beginning, our heartbeat has been clear—preach the gospel to the lost, love the unloved, disciple new believers, and keep the fire of the Holy Spirit burning among us. We stand firmly on 1 Peter 2:9, knowing we are CALLED out of darkness, CHOSEN to walk in excellence, and SET APART as God’s elect.

As the church grew, so did the clarity of our assignment. We realized God was raising a people who truly understand their identity in Christ—people who know they are called into His marvelous light, chosen to do His will, and set apart for His glory. This vision is not just about gathering; it’s about transformation. We are committed to cultivating believers who exhibit the fruits of the Holy Spirit, walk in unique excellence, and radiate the love and light of Jesus in every environment they enter. 

We are moving forward with a bold, Spirit‑led mandate: to raise an army for Jesus—men, women, and families who know who they are in Christ and live it out with confidence and power. Our future is centered on identity, discipleship, and impact. We see a church filled with Peculiar People who shine God’s glory effortlessly, influence culture with Kingdom excellence, and carry the marvelous light of Jesus into every corner of Stockton and beyond. CALLED. CHOSEN. SET APART.  This is who we are, and this is where we’re going.
