BAPTISM

WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Baptism is more than a moment in the water, it’s a powerful, biblical step that shows what God has already begun in your life.

Jesus was baptized first.

Even though He had no sin, Jesus chose to be baptized to identify with us and to model the life of obedience we’re called to follow. His baptism shows us that this step matters.

Baptism is a picture of the gospel.

When you go down into the water, it represents Jesus’ death and burial. When you come back up, it represents His resurrection and the brand‑new life He gives you. It’s a symbol of what God has done in your heart. Washing you clean, raising you up, and making you new.

Baptism is

 your public

 declaration!

It’s your way of saying openly and confidently: “I belong to Jesus. I’m following Him now.”

Ultimately, baptism declares that you are a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a public confession of your faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. It is the next step after salvation through repentance and faith and is an important foundation for Christian life.

“This is when I declared my new life in Christ."
